Dave Barr

I was born and raised in the small town of Mount Joy, Pennsylvania which is located in Lancaster County, about 20 minutes away from Hershey, PA. Growing up in a small town taught me a lot about work ethic and commitment. I started working my first job when I was 12 years old doing a weekly paper route. From there I had typical teenager jobs until I went to college where I worked nearly 4 years at Wilbur Chocolate learning about the chocolate industry and the history it has in the central PA area.

I graduated from Millersville University in 4 years with a B.A. in Applied Geography and History minor.  I was hired for my first job using GIS Applications working with a sub-contractor of PADOT mapping out new road projects and analyzing data points throughout the county and state I loved.

Eventually it was time for me to move and I did so on May 31, 2006 and chose Myrtle Beach, SC!  I've never looked back!  I have had a few jobs here, one of which is where I met my wife, Kate, and we now have a teenage son approaching High School.  I'm an avid golfer and aside from golf and spending time with my family, I am somewhat of a handyman and enjoy projects around my house or friends houses that need help!

I've been in Real Estate now since 2012.  Over the years I've learned negotiating skills, working with buyers and their needs/wants, navigating their life scenarios while listing their exit property all while gaining relationships with REALTORS all over Horry County.  I have years of experience working with National Builder's helping you build your dream from scratch, as well as existing inventory across the area for your new home, investment property or secondary/vacation home.
